Noticed started with a familiar scroll: another post in a local Facebook group, another "can anyone recommend a good electrician?", another thread of genuinely useful replies that would matter for about a week before disappearing into the group's history. Gone, buried under the next post, useless to the next person who asks the exact same question.
That happens constantly. Someone asks, a dozen neighbours reply with real experience: who they used, what it cost, whether they'd do it again. Then it's lost.
I wanted a permanent home for that. Not another star-rating site where anyone can leave five words and a number with no way of knowing if they've ever actually used the business. Somewhere every recommendation comes from someone who's actually hired the business they're recommending, whether that's a plumber, an electrician, or a dog walker.
It also had to be fair to the businesses on it. A lot of genuinely great local trades don't have a slick website or a van covered in logos. They're the handyman working evenings and weekends, the gardener building a client list by word of mouth, the person your neighbour swears by that you'd never find on Google. They deserved to be found on the strength of their work, not their marketing budget.
So that's Noticed: real recommendations, from real people, for the trades and local services that keep this area running. If you've had good work done, add your own recommendation. The next person asking in a Facebook group might be glad you did.
